Help

What is the meaning of life? If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound? Who, who wrote the book of love? There are a lot of frequently asked questions that we just aren't smart enough to answer. But here are some that we can :

Q:  Why is the spelling of Amateurazzi so damn hard??

A:   Due to ongoing conflicts in the world, our nation's capital has decided to cut back on spending for public education. This has resulted in diminished hiring of qualified educators which has, in return, contributed to the spelling problems in our country. Also, media such as text messages, IMs, and emails have further deteriorated the grammar and structure of the English language. This could lead to a breakdown in communication the world over and quite possibly the end of western civilization as we know it.

We at Amateurazzi know that you, the glorious citizens of the world, will be up for the spelling challenge. Plus, it's kind of a catchy name.

Q: My Uncle Rob played 3rd Flute in the Topeka Marching Band. Does he count as a celebrity?

A: Although the flute is one of the trickier wind instruments, unfortunately nobody outside your uncle's circle of trust really cares about him. Still, Amateurazzi leaves it up to the community to decide who is considered a celebrity.  In other words, if you don't think anybody other than your mother cares about your photo, it may not be the best material for the site, and villagers may come knocking on your door rather quickly for your lack of consideration.

Q: I live in Scranton, PA, and the closest thing we ever get to a celebrity sighting is the Philly Fanatic mascot at the baseball game. Does this qualify?

A: Yes! Any recognizable figure, live-action or a costumed man with a funny beak, is great material for Amateurazzi.com. Keep in mind that you can contribute in other ways too! Local news anchors, pro or college sports stars, musicians that play your town, etc. You may have more opportunities to snap a photo than you realize!

Q: I went to high school with Cameron Diaz, but even then she wouldn't look my way, let alone pose for a photo. I do have her yearbook picture though, does this count?

A:  Totally! Every celebrity comes from somewhere. In fact, did you know that Katie Holmes was born in Toledo, Ohio? I bet someone out there has some great Pre-Dawson's Creek/Scientology photos. Yearbook photos are always a hoot, so load ‘em up.

Q: Who owns the rights to my photos, you or me?

A: 100% you! We are just a way for you to share your photos with the world. Amateurazzi retains no rights to your photos, except for possible marketing use and publicity purposes.

Q: I saw a doctored/vulgar/stolen/downright nasty photo on your site. How do I let you know?

A: We all enjoy a little airbrushed internet porn on occasion, but Amateurazzi is not the place for such content. We are a family friendly site and we reserve the right to take down any photo we deem inappropriate or anything that doesn't adhere to our terms of use. If you see anything questionable, please click on the report link on the photo detail page. We count on the Amateurazzi community to keep the site free of slanderous, profane, fake, or stolen images.

Q: I have a picture of Humphrey Bogart from the 30s. Is that okay to post?

A: Yes, Nana, and congrats for your advanced internet use- 90 is the new 60 after all. But seriously, no photos are too old. And we could all use a little old Hollywood glamour injected into our daily lives. Play it again, Sam.

Q:  Help! Someone took the photo I posted on Amateurazzi and put it on their own website!

A: Ok, take a deep breath and relax. Better? Okay now. Amateurazzi allows other websites to post your photos on their sites as long as they link back to the original post on our site. If you have found they did not do so, please contact us immediately and we will send out the dogs. Or at the very least, ask them to stop.

Q: I have a 666 next to my user name, am I going to hell?

A:  Maybe, but that's not up to us to decide. The number by your name reflects the number of photos you have posted. And if you have posted over 600 photos- straight to the pearly gates for you in our books!

Q: Help! I forgot my username/password! Also, have you seen my car keys?

A: Look in the refrigerator, second shelf behind the ketchup. As for your user name/password., click the "I forgot my user name/password link" on the login page.
